Bernard Agius, a research assistant within the Teachers' Resource Centre (University of Malta), has participated in a Comenius-funded in-service training seminar titled Electronic Learning, Tele-Teaching and Tele-Coaching.
The seminar was organised by German ESTA-Bildungswerk e.V., which specialises in e-learning delivery. The event was spread over six days and was held at the University of Brussels.
Twenty-three participants from 12 European countries took part in the seminar, whose aim was to introduce the main features and characteristics of e-learning to educators. The programme featured an in-depth look at new emerging technologies as solutions for e-learning scenarios while special focus was given to pedagogic issues. Discussion was accompanied by hands-on experience on e-learning platforms.
The seminar also acted as an opportunity to find potential partners for future research projects in the field. Discussion as part of a follow-up project is expected to continue during the coming month in a 'virtual classroom'.
