The student organisation Pulse said the number of students applying for admission to the Junior College this year was expected to be higher than in past years.

The college administration was facing serious problems to accommodate the students. Pulse said that one of the most pressing problems was overcrowding of classrooms.

Pulse said it believed that student organisations should not remain silent on issues that affected students. They should also air their opinions on matters of national interest.

Pulse added it sought to maintain contacts with social democratic students' organisations in other countries.
