Novafilm, one of Germany's five largest film production companies, shot part of a TV film, Wendemanover, on a one-day shoot on Tuesday.
Most of the filming was at Grand Harbour. Other scenic shots were taken in St Julian's, Sliema and Valletta.
The cast and crew - about 15 Germans - arrived on board the Royal Clipper, one of the world's largest sailing yachts, where they have been filming for a few weeks.
Three Maltese also formed part of the crew and some 40 extras were involved in the shoot. A horse and carriage and a classic car were used as props for the Malta shoot. The TV film, featuring a love story aboard the Clipper, is scheduled to be aired on the German TV station, ARD, at prime time.
