Protecting our sand dunes

Nature Trust (Malta) is organising an educational seminar on the importance of sand dunes in the Maltese islands with special reference to the White Tower Bay sand dunes.

The half-day seminar will be open to everyone and will be held at Mellieha primary school tomorrow at 8.45 a.m. NT said sand dunes were a rare and important habitat in the Maltese islands.

Through a project which started at the beginning of summer this year, NT was working together with MEPA, UNESCO and the Mellieha Local Council on the conservation of the White Tower Bay sand dune.

During the seminar various experts will be speaking on this type of habitat, its importance and the conservation work being done.

Everyone is invited to attend and participation is free.

For booking contact NT on info@naturetrustmalta.org or phone 9942-2086.
