Union warns MIA

The Union Haddiema Maghqudin said it would not accept any practices that lessened the earnings of Malta International Airport workers and warned the management it was ready to order industrial action if the airport made changes that the union had not agreed to.

The UHM said that while shifts were being discussed, the MIA had written a letter to its employees in which it tried to scare them and threatened a change if discussions were not concluded.

It also maintained that the collective agreement should be negotiated with the UHM, while the fire section should have a separate agreement.

The UHM requested the management to be more responsible and not create industrial unrest to try and alienate the public from other pending MIA issues.
