Three senior citizens were injured in a traffic accident in Triq is-Sebh, Mriehel, on Saturday night.

The police said a 74-year-old woman from Sliema was driving a Fiat Panda in the direction of Sta Venera from Attard when the car hit a crash barrier and overturned.

The driver suffered slight injuries while one of the two passengers, a 75-year-old woman from Swieqi, suffered fractures, and an 88-year-old man from Sliema was slightly injured.

Qormi police are investigating.
