No one was injured in a shooting incident in the vicinity of Safi on Saturday night.

The police said a man had reported that two shots were fired in his direction while he was driving in the Safi area.

Preliminary investigations show that unknown persons in a Seat Cordoba allegedly fired twice in the direction of a Hyundai Lantra in which there were a 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from Zurrieq.

The police found one of the cartridges on site. An inquiry is being held. Investigations are being led by the Zurrieq police and the Department of Criminal Investigation.
