¤ The feast of St Margaret is being celebrated at Sannat today.

At 9 a.m. Bishop Cauchi will lead a Pontifical concelebrated Mass, with the participation of representatives of the Cathedral chapter and of the Gozo college of parish priests and other clergy.

Horse and donkey races will take place at 2 p.m. The Victory Band will be playing marches at 6. Vespers and sung antiphon will be led by Mgr Joseph Curmi at 6.30.

The procession with the statue of St Margaret leaves the church at 7.30.

The La Stella Band will perform a musical programme on St Margaret Square, followed by the Ite Ad Joseph Band.

¤ A musical programme is being held on Qala square tomorrow at 9 p.m. by the Ite ad Joseph Band, conducted by Mro M. Refalo. It will be under the patronage of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Anton Tabone.

Also on Qala square, a talent show by local youths and children, with the collaboration of the Qala council, will be held on Tuesday at 9 p.m. Special guests include singers Lynn Chircop, Ludwig Galea and Julie Zahra.

These activities will lead up to the feast of St Joseph, being celebrated in Qala on Sunday.

On Wednesday at 9.30 p.m. a traditional meal will be held on the main square, with singer Fabrizio Faniello as special guest.

On Thursday and Friday at 9.30 p.m. the Ite ad Joseph Band and the Precursor Band will play lively marches through the streets of Qala, with a ground fireworks display on Friday.

On Saturday at 6.45 p.m. the relic of St Joseph will be carried in translation from the chapel of the Franciscan Sisters to the parish church, where the antiphon will be sung, followed by a solemn concelebrated Mass.

A live broadcast with SBS Radio of Australia will start at 9 p.m. on the church parvis.

The La Stella Band of Victoria and the Queen Victoria Band of Zurrieq will play marches at 9.30 p.m., while the Victory Band will perform a programme on the square. There will be a spectacular ground fireworks display starting at midnight.

The festivities will be broadcast on Lehen il-Qala community radio (106.3 FM).

¤ The casket containing the remains of St Therese of Lisieux, which is in Malta for three weeks, will arrive at Mgarr tomorrow at 5.30 p.m.

There it will be placed on the Therese-mobile and transported to Ghajnsielem Square, where Bishop Cauchi will deliver an address of welcome. This will be followed by a carcade to Ta' Pinu Sanctuary, where at 6.30 p.m. Canon Michael Galea will be giving an address. Vespers will be led by the Discalced Carmelite Provincial, Fr Alfred Grech. At 8 p.m. Rev. Professor Peter Serracino Inglott will be giving a lecture for professionals on "St Therese and the Science of Love" at the Ta' Pinu Sanctuary Hall.

A vigil for members of lay religious organisations starts at 9.30 p.m. The sanctuary will be open to the public from 10.30 till midnight.

Ta' Pinu Sanctuary will reopen on Tuesday at 5 a.m. Mass for the sick, and the elderly will be celebrated at 9.30 a.m. At 6.30 p.m. Bishop Cauchi will lead a Pontifical concelebrated Mass, with the participation of diocesan priests and religious.

The casket will be taken to Ghasri parish church at 8 p.m. At 9 p.m., it will be taken to the Seminary chapel, which will be open to the public during the night.

A prayer meeting for male and female religious of the Gozo diocese will be held at the Seminary on Wednesday at 8 a.m.

At 9 a.m. the casket will be taken to Xlendi church and then to Kercem at 10.15 a.m.

The casket will be at the Discalced Carmelite Sisters' convent at 11 a.m. and will then be taken to the General Hospital at 3.45 p.m.

The Victory Band will be welcoming the casket at Xaghra at 5.15 p.m.

A diocesan activity for children is being organised on the main square at 8 p.m. Xaghra Basilica will be open to the public during the night.

Pontifical concelebrated Mass will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m.

The casket will leave Mgarr harbour on the Gozo Princess at 4.30 p.m. for Vittoriosa.
