A group of students from the Lorenzo Gafà Secondary School, in Vittoriosa, have concluded a four-week work orientation course at Malta Drydocks' training and development unit.

The course, organised for the sixth consecutive year, was held as part of a partnership agreement between the school and the Drydocks. During the course, the students received lessons in ethics and occupational health and safety and took part in practical sessions in electrical, sheet metal, welding, pipe fitting and lathe work.

They were given remuneration of Lm12 a week.
