Defilement charge

A 52-year-old Zabbar man was yesterday charged with defiling a 12-year-old girl.

Carmelo Camilleri pleaded not guilty to defiling the minor, offending public morals and breaching the conditions of a previous release on and before Monday.

He was remanded in custody.
