11 injured in two vehicle collision

Eleven people were injured in an accident between a car and a minibus on the Coast Road on Monday night, the police said.

The accident involved a Peugeot 206 driven by a 25-year-old man from Floriana and a Ford Transit van driven by a 37-year-old woman from Zebbug, carrying nine foreign passengers on board.

The nine passengers, and the van's driver, suffered slight injuries, while the driver of the Peugeot was in a stable condition at St Luke's Hospital.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

Investigations are being carried out by the Naxxar District Police.
