The police last year conducted breathalyser tests on 124 drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and 85 resulted positive.

The others either refused the test or it proved inconclusive. Court procedures have been initiated in all cases, Home Affairs Minister Tonio Borg said in reply to a parliamentary question by Labour MP Joseph Abela.
