A horse was killed yesterday afternoon when it was hit in Zejtun by a Toyota Starlet driven by a 20-year-old Zejtun girl.

An ambulance took the girl to hospital, where she was found to be slightly injured, but the horse died of the wounds it suffered in the accident.

The Zejtun district police are investigating.
