The Aurora Folk Group, a branch of the Leone Band Club of Victoria, is organising a festival to celebrate its 30th anniversary. This will be held on Thursday, on the Cathedral Square in the Citadel.

The event starts at 7.30 p.m. with a parade on Savina Square, followed by performances of various folk groups and singers, including the Aurora Folk Group, Tony Camilleri and il-Budaj.

A crafts exhibition, which will include handmade lace and silver filigree, will be organised by various local crafts manufacturers. A traditional Gozitan dinner will also be served.

The Aurora Folk Group gave its first performance in 1973 on the Cathedral Square.

Consisting of various dancers and singers, the group has performed in a number of traditional celebrations, including that of the Small Nations Games held recently at the Marsa Sports Ground.
