Tony Drago is making a big hit in the nine-ball game. After a rather shaky start, yesterday he made it to the last eight of the World Pool Championship, currently being played at the Cardiff International Arena, with a hard-earned 11-9 win over Korean Young-Hwa Jeong.

Drago, whose rapid-fire style has entertained the public for the last 20 years as a snooker pro, looked in good form and always held the upperhand last night. Jeong kept fighting back admirably but in the end Drago's experience made the difference even though the contest was reserved to a much smaller table than the one he usually performs on.

Today, Drago faces Marcus Chamat Archer (Sweden) or Hui-Kai Hsia (Chinese Taipei).
