Obituary

BALZAN. On July 17, at St Luke's Hospital, REBECCA née Navarro, aged 85, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Henry and his wife Catherine, Violet and her husband Achille, Julie, widow of her son Joseph, her grandchildren, her sisters Mary and Carmelina, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 7 a.m. for St Joseph's parish church, Msida, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 7.30 a.m. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.

VASSALLO. On July 18, EMMANUELA k/a Lilly of Pietà, aged 77, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Maryanne and her husband Joseph Farrugia, her sons Saviour and his wife Carmen, Joseph and his wife Nanette, Raymond and his wife Grace, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for the Fatima church in Guardamanga where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery.

Clay Pigeon Shoot

Hunters from Paola together with the Qormi Clay Shooting Club and the Kerygma Movement are organising a clay pigeon shoot from July 28 to August 3 at the Olympic shooting range, in Tal-Handaq, Qormi in aid of Dar tal-Providenza.

Apart from the daily shoot, there will also be night shooting from July 31 to August 2.

Stamp Cancelling Slogan

Maltapost will use a machine stamp cancelling slogan marking the 30th anniversary of technical and military assistance by the Italian Military Mission at the central mailroom, Qormi Road, Marsa from Monday to August 2.

Media Centre website

The Church's Media Centre yesterday officially launched its website.

The site provides information on the services offered by the centre including the printing press, the publications department, the newspaper il-GENSillum, the social communication secretariat, the film guide, the advertising department, the television unit, the Qarrej Nisrani bookshops and the accounts department.

Uncollected Certificates

A number of certificates in respect of the SEC May/September 2002 examinations have not yet been collected.

If these certificates are not collected within a month they will be forwarded by ordinary post, the Education Department said.
