Wishy-washy
Much has been said about the bad translation in Maltese of the phrase advisory board as igsma tal-pariri and little is said about the still worse translation of the phrase money laundering as hasil tal-flus (the washing of money).
In my life I have never seen any one washing money, especially notes - except by accident, when the helper throws the trousers in the washing machine without checking the pockets!
Better use the original words than try to give funny translations!
