Warship calls

The government last year granted 90 permits for foreign warships from 15 nations to call at Malta. No requests were denied, Foreign Minister Joe Borg told Labour MP Joseph Cuschieri (MLP) in reply to a parliamentary question.

He said 77 permits have been granted so far this year. No permits were denied.

The minister said that 461 permits were issued last year for military aircraft to overly Maltese airspace and no permits were denied. A further 452 permits were issued this year.
