The correct name
I fully agree with Mario Dingli's statement that our town should be called Sliema and not Tas-Sliema.
Vincent Galea tried vaguely to convince but I would like to support my recommendations as follows.
All telephone directory addresses are listed as "Sliema".
All ID cards bear address as "Sliema".
Individual and official correspondence are addressed "Sliema". Road maps of Malta indicate "Sliema" as such.
Anybody asking your address, the answer is always "Sliema".
