A St Paul's Bay man was yesterday charged with four counts of fraud.

Anthony Bezzina, 50, pleaded not guilty to defrauding Raymond Lanzon, of Ray's Jewellers, of Lm580, Stephen Rausi, of S. Rausi Trading Limited, of Lm418.50, Joseph Micallef, of Dolci Freschi, of Lm200 and Lawrence Farrugia, of Lorry Farrugia Wines and Spirits, of Lm180 between March 1 and May 15.

He also pleaded not guilty to handling stolen property and relapsing and was granted bail against a Lm300 deposit and Lm300 personal guarantee.
