Maltese squad announced

The names of the athletes representing Malta at the 55th Fisec Games in Salamanca, were announced during a meeting organised by the Malta Fisec Council.

This year, the FISEC Games will be held between July 20 and 24.

The Maltese contingent, consisting of officials, delegates, coaches and athletes, will be made up of around 90 people.

In his introduction, Malta Fisec Council chairman Bro. Martin Borg spoke about the organisation of these games in Spain and reminded all athletes about the significance of representing Malta in this international event.

The FISEC Council chairman also gave details about all the activities in Salamanca throughout the week of the games.

Carmen Carabott, general secretary, and David Azzopardi, technical director, outlined the intensive preparations undertaken by the Maltese athletes and coaches in the months leading up to the FISEC Games.

Maltese athletes will be taking part in five disciplines - swimming, athletics, volleyball, basketball and five-a-side football (futsal).
