President launches August Moon Ball

The President and Mrs de Marco yesterday launched the Ball of the August Moon at San Anton Palace.

The ball will be held on August 2 at the Verdala Castle grounds at Buskett and all proceeds will be in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

Patrons will be treated to a five-course gala dinner with live entertainment throughout the evening.

Flower arrangements are being designed and prepared by Therese Sullivan and her team of floral artists.

Tickets for the ball, priced at Lm20, are on sale from the office of the Malta Community Chest Fund at the Palace, in Valletta, or can be booked on 2124 0568 or 9949 3110.

During the launching of the ball, Tony Cassar, on behalf of Marsovin, presented a donation of Lm5,000 to President de Marco as part sponsorship for the ball. Marsovin are the main sponsors for this year's event.

Attending the launch were the members of the organising committee, which this year is being chaired by Joe Gauci.
