Donations in aid of 'quake victims

Lions Club Sliema and the Lions Club of Malta each donated Lm200 to the Malta Red Cross Society.

Malta Red Cross's director general, Mauro Pace Parascandalo, received the money on both occasions.

The money will be in aid of the International Fund put up by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to support the efforts in Algiers to assist in disaster relief for earthquake victims.
