Go Mobile is giving out Lm15 free talk-time to whoever buys any of the five MMS phones with in-built cameras being promoted during the trade fair. The offers on MMS phones are valid until the end of July.

The Sagem myX-6 is being sold at Lm135, while the Panasonic GD87 is retailing at Lm205. Go Mobile is offering also a range of Nokia MMS phones - the Nokia 7650, which is being sold at Lm185, the Nokia 3650 at Lm195 and the Nokia 7250 at Lm210. The offers include VAT and are available from the Go Mobile stand at the Naxxar Trade Fair Grounds and from all Go Mobile retail outlets.

Whoever buys these MMS phones will get Lm15 free talk-time. These offers are valid till July 31 or until stocks last.

Paul Gauci, Go Mobile sales and marketing senior executive, said: "Go Mobile is extending these offers on MMS phones till the end of July. We are truly offering the better value by giving new MMS phone owners Lm15 talk-time. Being the company that first launched Malta's first ever Photo Messaging Service (Snap & go) in October 2002, we are now also offering a full range of MMS services that includes also sending and receiving images, photos, videos and audio both locally and when roaming abroad."

Launch of Go Live! MMS

The launch of Go Live! MMS took place at the new Go Mobile stand at the Trade Fair, next to the Maltacom stand. The new stand is larger and offers state-of-the-art demonstrations of wireless solutions such as go Live! (MMS) and Go Online (including GPRS and WLAN). Go Mobile's summer offers and MMS phones will also be available from the stand.

Speaking about Go Live! Go Mobile CEO Professor Juanito Camilleri said this brand encompasses Go Mobile's range of MMS services.

"Go Live! inspires the senses by integrating standard voice and text with images, photos, audio and video. This gives an extra dimension to the way mobile phone users communicate. With most MMS phones one can take photos, add to them an audio clip and some text and send them as messages. With other phones, one can even record a short video clip and send it via MMS," Professor Camilleri said.

Go Mobile users can send MMS from Malta and abroad (from countries where Go Mobile has roaming agreements) to other mobile phone users, as well as to any e-mail account worldwide. MMS phone users can receive MMS and view them directly on their mobile phone. MMS can be sent via two technologies - General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) or Circuit Switched Data (CSD).

If, on the other hand, a Go Mobile user does not have a MMS phone, he or she can still access the received MMS via Go Mobile's Web portal - my go (www.go.com.mt/mygo). Such users will be notified of any incoming MMS via SMS.

Mr Gauci said MMS is also available when Go Mobile customers are roaming in countries where Go Mobile has roaming agreements. Standard international GPRS and CSD charges apply when using MMS abroad. For more information, one can log into www.go.com.mt.

Go Mobile customers are asked to call Go Care on 146 before using MMS abroad for the first time.

Go Mobile is also launching the Go Live! download centre, which is a WAP site where Go Mobile customers can download images, polyphonic ringtones as well as games and applications. The URL of this WAP site is http://golive.

Go Mobile will be launching additional features and services under the Go Live! brand in the near future. Go Mobile is currently discussing with Vodafone interconnection for MMS services so as to enable subscribers of both networks to send MMS to each other.

Users of Go Mobile's photo messaging service Snap & go are being migrated to the new MMS service. More information of the Go Live! multimedia services can be obtained by calling 146 from any Go Mobile line or 7922-2146 from other phones.
