Floriana concert

Kindly refer to the editorial "Sorry is the hardest word" (June 30).

The Floriana local council was not, initially, consulted as to which roads/streets would be out of bounds for motorists entering Valletta.

On May 21, the council received a copy of the letter sent by the traffic management directorate to Jonastin Zammit in which letter there existed an indication as to which roads/streets would be closed for motorists. This, on the part of the traffic management directorate was a slipshod way of doing things. This was, surely, no discussion, but the mere passing on of information to the Floriana local council.

One now wonders whether this entity, like the Ministry for Transport and Communication beforehand, was trying to humiliate the Floriana local council.
