Go Mobile has launched a range of multimedia messaging services (MMS) under the umbrella brand "go live".
During the summer months, multimedia messages sent by go mobile customers in Malta will be free of charge.
Go live integrates standard voice and text with images, photos, audio and video, giving an extra dimension to the way mobile phone users communicate.
With most MMS phones one can take photos, add an audio clip and some text and send them as messages. With other phones, one can even record a short video clip and send it, Go Mobile's chief executive officer Juanito Camilleri said.
Go Mobile users can send a multimedia message from Malta and abroad (from countries where Go Mobile has roaming agreements) to other mobile phone users, as well as to any e-mail account worldwide.
Customers who do not have an MMS phone can access multimedia messages sent to them via go mobile's web portal at www.go.com.mt/mygo.
Go Mobile's new trade fair stand, located next to Maltacom, offers state-of-the-art demonstrations of wireless solutions such as "go live" and numerous other services.
Go Mobile is launching a special offer for the trade fair period. Anyone purchasing an MMS Sagem myX-6 at Lm135 will get Lm10 free talk-time.
Go Mobile is in discussions with Vodafone on enabling customers of both networks to send multimedia messages to each other.
