The Valletta police station will hold an open day today as the Malta Police Force starts celebrating its 189th anniversary.

A packed programme, which runs until July 13, includes a number of public activities by the various sections of the corps.

Displays by the police band, the precision drill team and the dogs section will be held at 8.30 p.m. in Mosta on Thursday, in Zejtun on Friday, in Bugibba on Saturday, at Marsalforn on Sunday, at Vittoriosa on Monday, at Sta Lucija on July 8, in Sliema on July 10 and at Marsascala on July 13.

The police headquarters in Floriana will be open to the public on July 11 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

On Police Day, July 12, a Pontifical Mass will be said at the headquarters at 8.45 a.m. A display by the police band and the precision drill team will be held at 10 a.m.
