Bus drivers' training

On June 26 it was reported in The Times that another group of bus drivers are going to take part in the EU Leonardo da Vinci training programme to be held in Portsmouth.

I hope these drivers will be taught that they should stop their bus close by the pavement of the bus stop to dis/embark passengers.

How often do we see this practice on our roads? Seldom, not to say never!
