This situation is getting worse, year after year, and is unacceptable. To be able to book a flight in peak season one has to do so some four months in advance. This is totally unfair, especially since we are now being expected to pay for the flight within a short time of booking it.
Why should we be left "on the waiting list" and therefore very uncertain as to whether the long-awaited summer holiday will be possible after all? Something has to be done adequately to control this blocking up of seats by tour operators.
Indeed, I think there should be a reasonable limit as to the number of seats that can be blocked in advance by these operators. And I imagine there are scores of other people out there facing the same situation.
It is time we start speaking out.
