The International Air Rally of Malta will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
George E. Kissaun, chairman of the International Air Rally of Malta, said when he received a sponsorship cheque from Igino Xuereb, chief officer retail banking of the Bank of Valletta, that one new club, the Solent Flight, has signified its intention to participate in this year's edition of the air rally of Malta.
The Solent Flight represents one of the largest groups to participate in any rally.
They will be flying from Southampton in the United Kingdom with a formation of six aircraft.
The first International Air Rally of Malta was held in 1969 and over 1,000 aircraft have taken part throughout the years.
