Four 80-tonne transformers arrived on board the vessel Lapad from Portugal yesterday, their final destination being Enemalta's Mosta distribution centre.

The transformers - intended to strengthen the power supply in the north of Malta and Gozo - were made by Efatec in Portugal and are being transported by haulage contractors White Brothers which specifically imported a trailer to do the job.
