The photograph published with my letter relating to this subject (June 19) does not do justice to the actual chaotic situation.

The picture published gives the impression of serenity, order and smooth-running in the area. In reality the true picture is totally different. What should have been pictured is the approximately one-mile long traffic hold up from the entrance of the tunnels to the roundabout. It is a pity that it is not possible to picture the diesel/petrol fumes in the tunnel during these frequent traffic hold ups.

May I again urge the authorities to remedy this present state of affairs, which is a cause of concern regarding health and which, in my opinion, is not an insurmountable problem and can be easily implemented when one considers modern technology.
