Faculty of Education publications/book launch

A publications/book launch will take place at Le Meridien Phoenicia on Friday as part of the Faculty of Education's 25th anniversary celebrations.

The new electronic Journal of Maltese Education Research, a refereed research journal, will be officially launched through a powerpoint display. The journal's first issue has already come out with each article going through an anonymous double review process before being accepted for publication.

The journal, edited by incoming Dean, Dr Carmel Borg, benefits, for the purpose of the refereeing process, from the presence of a strong editorial advisory board of local and foreign-based scholars.

A number of faculty members will also officially launch books published during academic year 2002-3. Some of these books were produced by local publishing houses while others have been published internationally. The authors/editors include Dr Christopher Bezzina, Dr Carmel Borg, Dr Sandro Caruana, Dr Antoinette Camilleri Grima, Professor Charles J. Farrugia, Professor Peter Mayo, Terence Portelli, David Purchase and Professor Ronald G. Sultana.

Past and recent publications by members of the Faculty of Education will be displayed throughout the event.
