Hairline cracks on wash-hand basin

This case was featured on June 8 regarding a wash-hand basin bought from Bathroom Styles Ltd of Mosta Road, Lija, on April 2. On April 8 I asked for Bathroom Styles' comments, to no avail. On May 13 I sent them a reminder, still to no avail, and, in the absence of any reply, on June 8 I featured the case.

I have now received the following letter which effectively renders the case closed:

With reference to my query regarding the hairline cracks in the wash-hand basin, I would like to forward you the latest information. After looking in the SIMAS Internet catalogue and after having sent them two e-mails, I came across the Maltese agents, Philip Tabone Trading Agency, whom I informed.

Mr Tabone very politely offered to settle my problem and to exchange my wash-hand basin, refit it or pay for it to be refitted. I have to wait a month till the new consignment arrives from Italy. This is a very positive note which shows how good business should be run.

I must add that I had no contact or feedback from Bathroom Styles. I thank you again for your concern. (Mario Grech Mallia)

While it is sad to note Bathroom Styles' indifference, it is nice to know that the agent, Mr Tabone, cares. The total lack of communication from Bathroom Styles does not suggest any willingness on their part to communicate. However, they are still welcome to send us their comments.
