Burke, new Floriana FC president

Dennis Burke is the new president of Floriana FC. Together with George Carbone he was co-opted to the committee last night and immediately put at the helm of the Greens' club. Charles Micallef, who did not withdraw his nomination as had been previously thought, will be the club's vice-president.

Alfred Cauchi and Trevor Zahra are the other top officials of the club. Cauchi will be the club's secretary while Zahra will act as treasurer and public relations officer.

Meanwhile the club also appointed Dr Hugh Peralta, as honorary president, and also confirmed Zija Yildiz as coach to the senior team.
