New categories for restaurants survey

Two new categories are being included in this year's Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants survey: best Maltese cuisine and the best toilet.

The restaurant awards, sponsored by Vodafone, also rank food, service and ambience.

This year's restaurant survey invites restaurant patrons to vote for the best Maltese cuisine, sponsored by the Institute of Tourism Studies, top restaurant for Business Entertainment, best Value for Money, most Romantic Restaurant, most Children Friendly restaurant and the long awaited best Toilet Award.

Awards are presented at the annual ceremony in December.

The restaurant survey is distributed on a yearly basis in order to keep up with the numerous changes of the restaurant scene in Malta and Gozo.

This year prizes will be presented to those reviewers who return their survey with ratings and include the funniest most relevant and informative comments by the deadline of July 20. The prizes include an Air Malta ticket to any European destination, a complimentary weekend for two at the Intercontinental Malta, Lm25 restaurant vouchers and free copies of the guide if the survey is returned in good time.
