Dean of Medicine and Surgery at Glasgow meeting

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow recently held a meeting of its international advisers in Glasgow.

The UK Royal Colleges are acutely aware of the problems facing overseas candidates wishing to go to Britian for further training. Several workshops were held between the Glasgow College and its international advisors to identify these problems and seek solutions or offer proposals. In addition, several papers related to these topics were presented.

Malta was represented by Professor G. LaFerla, who serves on the International Advisory Board of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. He presented a paper entitled "Malta - A small member state getting ready for EU accession".
