Mario Cutajar, an art photographer and council member of the Malta Photographic Society (MPS), is in Libya as guest of the Maltese Embassy in Tripoli.

Last February Mr Cutajar participated in an exhibition of monochrome and colour prints that the MPS organised at the Tripoli Art House with the embassy's help. Twenty-six members of the society displayed their works at the exhibition.

Mr Cutajar recently won an award in Malta with artistic photos he took last February of the Roman ruins at Sabratha, in Libya. This time he decided to revisit Libya whose heritage sites, he says, are "a mine of opportunities and inspiration for photography artists".
