18 lapdancers arrested

Eighteen women from Russia, Bulgaria, the Ukraine and Belarus, aged between 19 and 29, were arrested by the immigration section of the police in raids at two nightclubs on Thursday night.

The police said the women were working in Malta without permits.

Police sources said the women were working as lapdancers in Paceville and Bugibba establishments.
