Six people were killed and 25 injured when two trains collided yesterday near the southern German town of Schrozberg, police said.

Authorities said 25 people were treated for injuries at nearby hospitals. The drivers of both trains and at least one child were among the dead.

Rail operator Deutsche Bahn said the two regional trains crashed head-on in the southwestern state of Baden-Wuerttemberg but the cause was not immediately known. Reuters
