Fathers' Day in Malta is celebrated on Sunday. So far as I know this was started by Fr Charles Vella, founder of the Cana Movement, around 1964. I really cannot see any valid connection to celebrate Father's Day at this time of the year. Why not change...

Fathers' Day in Malta is celebrated on Sunday. So far as I know this was started by Fr Charles Vella, founder of the Cana Movement, around 1964.

I really cannot see any valid connection to celebrate Father's Day at this time of the year. Why not change the celebration of this day to a more appropriate time: March 19, feast of St Joseph?

If it were through the Cana Movement that this celebration was established in Malta, I encourage the movement to discuss this matter so that as from 2004 Father's Day will be celebrated in Malta on March 19.
