The electricity service was disrupted yesterday in parts of Rabat, Dingli, Ta' Qali, Girgenti and Fawwara.

Enemalta said in a statement that the power cuts were caused by a fault in one of the high voltage cables used to supply electricity.

The electricity service was expected to be restored by yesterday evening.
