The InterContinental Malta, in St George's Bay is to open a new restaurant, the Al Fresco, located in the hotel's enclosed landscaped gardens.
Executive chef Werner Kallenborn, together with his team of chefs, has prepared an interesting menu, offering a good mix of Mediterranean elements.
The Al Fresco will open to the public on June 24, having catered exclusively during the previous three weeks for delegates of an international conference.
The new dishes at the Al Fresco include a sea-food platter, oven-roasted sea bream, lobster ravioli with asparagus, Mediterranean fish soup with saffron vegetables, and carpaccio of salmon and monkfish.
The Al Fresco restaurant will be open every day for lunch (noon to 3 p.m.) and for dinner (7 to 11 p.m.).
