New Mercedes Benz CLK-Class Cabriolet

In terms of aerodynamics, interior noise levels and boot volume, the new CLK Cabriolet is great. In addition, Mercedes Benz has made further advances in the field of occupant safety by incorporating an extremely robust body structure, automatic roll-over protection, which deploy automatically within a fraction of a second in an accident situation, standard fitting head/thorax bags, adaptive front airbags and belt tensioners for all four occupants. All safety features form part of the standard safety equipment package.

A new development in the CLK Cabriolet is the multi-layer fabric soft top, which provides outstanding temperature insulation and minimises driving noise in the interior. It is extremely easy to use and can be opened and closed fully automatically at the touch of a button, or by means of remote control.

The soft top is available in black, blue or grey and when closed disappears beneath the soft-top well lid behind the rear bulkhead in a matter of seconds. At the front end, the soft top locks onto the top edge of the windscreen frame automatically. The impressive design of the soft-top well and the fully lowerable side windows are key factors in ensuring open-air driving pleasure.

In addition, the standard equipment package for the new CLK-Class Cabriolet contains further systems, which substantially enhance ride comfort and ease of use. These include automatic climate control with rear compartment ventilation, headlamp assist, rain sensor for windscreen wipers, cruise control with speedtronic, radio with cassette player, leather covered multifunctional steering wheel with height and reach adjustment plus illuminated control buttons and central display for individual settings.
