I would like to recommend the service received at Art at Home of Mdina Road, Attard.
Last October I called at their showroom to order a bedroom. Instead of the double bed, my wife requested two single headboards. She also ordered a TV cabinet and a swinging self-standing mirror. The cost of the bedroom was Lm950 and, with the changes and additions, it amounted to Lm1,200.
The company's representative filled in an invoice. However, as I was not satisfied with the way the delivery was indicated, I copied the invoice and inserted the latest delivery date in an agreement. We both signed the agreement.
When the bedroom was delivered my wife and I noticed that the commodes were missing. We phoned the supplier who quite rightly pointed out that the commodes were not part of the deal. I checked the original invoice and agreement and, to my surprise, noted that the supplier was legally right. When the original invoice was drawn up, the commodes were inadvertently omitted. The same occurred when I drew up the agreement.
We called at Art at Home and argued that, on the basis of the cost of the additional items, we should also have received the two commodes. Art at Home rectified the mistake by giving us the two commodes free of charge when, legally they could have asked us to pay for the items.
We recommend Art at Home for fair dealing. (Edwin P. Mamo)
Indeed Mr Mamo substantiated the above by sending me photocopies of the bill, the agreement, and the VAT receipt. What else can I add other than compliment Art at Home of Mdina Road, Attard?
