Two brothers charged with rape were yesterday granted bail on condition they do not leave their homes without the court's permission.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani Grima also bound the brothers, who are both in their 50s, by a Lm7,000 deposit and a Lm10,000 personal guarantee each.

One of the brothers is pleading not guilty to the rape, defilement and violent indecent assault of two boys, holding them against their will and forcing them to commit sexual acts.

The other man is pleading not guilty to committing the same offences on one of the boys and both are pleading not guilty to child pornography and distributing pornographic material.
