The Malta Red Cross, together with the British, Finnish and Latvian RC has presented a second project on first aid training to the EU and is at present awaiting approval.

The local Red Cross is already part of a project on road safety being undertaken by the 15 EU Member states and the 10 acceding countries, which is funded by the EU.

The director general of the Malta Red Cross Society, Mauro Pace Parascandalo, recently attended a meeting at the Red Cross/EU Office in Brussels for the national Red Cross Societies of the 10 acceding countries.
