Badger Karting recently launched an action-packed summer programme at the Ta' Qali raceway, which kicks off on June 11.

Between Wednesdays and Fridays, visitors can now enjoy an Arrive and Drive Session. The charge is Lm1.75 for a session between 7 and 8 p.m.

The summer weekly activity for youths, which started last season, will continue to take place on Saturday evenings. There will be one open karting session of two hours between 7 and 9 p.m.

Sundays will see drivers taking part in the HSBC National Leisure Karting League, starting soon.

The four-stroke league will consist of four divisions split between beginners, novices, intermediates and advanced.

"We can now boast of a new fleet consisting of petrol-powered karts," Badger Karting director Andy Borg said.

"These machines are much faster and enjoy better performances, putting drivers to the test. The karts are used for championships and special events... a must for the experienced driver to try out."

The overall number of karts available currently stands at 30, some of which can reach speeds of up to 80 kph. When combined with the twists and turns of the 17 different track layouts, these karts deliver a perfect blend of thrill and adrenalin.

For further information about activities at Badger Karting, one may visit the organisation's website, www.badger.com.mt, or call on 21-421838.
