The five-star Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel, in St Petersburg, owned by International Hotel Investments plc, a member of the Corinthia Group, on Friday welcomed a number of world dignitaries, including the President of China Hu Jintao, the President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, and the Prime Ministers of Canada, Greece, India and Japan.

The guests arrived in St Petersburg to participate in the city's 300th anniversary celebrations as guests of President Putin.

Located on the city's main boulevard, Nevskij Prospekt, the Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel was acquired by IHI plc in 1992 and has 282 superior rooms and suites, and a number of first class services and facilities that cater for both the business and leisure traveller.

The hotel is operated by Corinthia Hotels International.
