A Ukrainian student was yesterday jailed for a week and given a two-year jail term suspended for two years for theft, forgery, fraud and drug possession.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti handed down judgment after Dmytro Glotov, 18, pleaded guilty to heroin possession, stealing Jurgen Boni's laptop and camera, using Ingrid Zammit's bank card to shop, forging the card slips and defrauding her, the bank and the shops.
